Brief history

 

In 1991, the Homophobia Awareness Committee was appointed by Dr. Griesen to "promote a positive, inclusive environment for gay men and lesbians in the university community". The name changed to the Committee on Gay and Lesbian Concerns, then finally the Committee on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns.

 

Membership

 

Anyone can be a member of the CGLBTC. Minimum requirements of membership is subscription to the CGLBTC listserv. Members can volunteer to serve as part of the Leadership team (including tri-chair, scribe, webmaster, and other positions) or one of the many sub-committees.
