UNL GLBT History wiki
Background:
The CGLBTC has been around for about 16 years in some form or another. It's an important part of UNL's history. While updating the CGLBTC site, Debbie Krahmer found many old or out-dated documents, as well as important decisions and reports included in the meeting minutes. These events, reports, and documents are part of a continuing struggle on campus for GLBTQ people. Many issues, such as Domestic Partner Benefits and the development of the LGBTQA Programs & Services position, are still evolving and could benefit from a coherent record of developments, struggles, initiatives, and steps already taken. There is also a lot of "invisible" information available that exists between Committee members, on the blackboard site, or in other forms that are not currently publicly available, but could easily be made publicly available.
Project:
Debbie would like to work with a student or other interested committee member who would create a "finding guide" of sorts to important information on the website. This way, we can track progress made, and easily identify steps already taken and discussions already had. This project will result in an online guide to the CGLBTC documents and related materials.
